Family Team Building
For this project, 16 Instructor led training modules were created for classroom or virtual delivery, which were then further converted into eLearning modules. As the primary instructional designer, I worked with SMEs to create participant guides, instructor guides, and PowerPoints for the 16 student facing ILT modules, as well as a Train the Trainer module which included a participant guide, instructor guide, and PPT. I then converted all 16 classes into eLearning.
Exceptional Families
This project focused on the addressing the needs of military families with exceptional family members. The first set of six courses focused on children with exceptional needs, and their parents who may need assistance navigating topics like: early intervention, IEPs, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and the special education process. The second set of five courses focused on adult family members with exceptional needs, helping their family members navigate topics such as: Adults with special needs; estate planning; guardianship; and available government assistance.
Travel Basics
A scenario based course designed to help federal employees understand government travel regulations, and to help guide them to smart choices when spending taxpayer dollars. Students initially select a scenario, choose their mode of travel, and work through a series of decisions to make sure their travel complies with regulations. Successful decisions result in Travel Points to be spent at the Virtual Travel Store for such necessities as eye masks, travel snacks, neck pillows, and more. The course also featured a helpful Travel Guide to provide tips and assistance throughout. As the primary instructional designer, and worked closely with SMEs, graphic design, and programmers to bring the course to life.
